The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (the “PDPA”), which regulates the processing of personal data in commercial transactions, applies to Shijie Property and its related companies (“SJP”, “our”, “us” or “we”). For the purpose of this notice, the terms “personal data” and “processing” shall have the meanings prescribed in the PDPA.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of the individuals we encounter in conducting our business. “Personal Information” is information that identifies and relates to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle Personal Information that we collect both through this website (the “Site”), our mobile application, and through other means (for example, from our forms that you complete, advertisements, telephone calls, e-mails, and other communications with us, as well as from lawyers, bankers, or other third parties involved in our business dealings with you).
1. Notice of Processing This written notice serves to inform you that your personal data is being processed by or on behalf of SJP.
2. Types of Personal Data Collected The personal data processed by us includes your name*, identification card number*, contact details*, address*, race*, sex*, date of birth*, and family details*.
3. Relationship-Based Information Depending on your relationship with us (for example, as a client-owner, client-purchaser, non-client, or potential client), Personal Information collected about you may include:
- i) Identification: General identification and contact information, including name, address, e-mail, and telephone details.
- ii) Property Specifics: Property details, maintenance and sinking fund rates, building approvals, rental agreements, and all relevant information pertaining to the sale or rental of your property(ies).
- iii) Government Issued IDs: Identification numbers issued by government bodies or agencies (NRIC number, passport number, or military/police identification).
- iv) Preferences: Information enabling us to provide real estate services, including preferred locations, marketing preferences, and customer feedback.
4. Online Dealings and Cookies We collect information about your use of the Site from cookies. Cookies are packets of information stored in your computer which assist your website navigation by customizing site information tailored to your needs. Cookies do not identify the individual user, only the computer used. You are not obliged to accept cookies, though rejection may affect the personalization aspects of the Site.

5. Purposes of Processing We process your personal data, including any additional information you may subsequently provide, for the following purposes (“Purposes”):
- i) To communicate with you and respond to your inquiries.
- ii) To provide professional real estate services and process your transactions.
- iii) To process incentive payments for outlets or administer participation in contests.
- iv) To conduct internal activities, market surveys, customer satisfaction surveys, and trend analysis.
- v) To improve our services and content accuracy through Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
- vi) To promote and provide you with information regarding SJP’s or our business partners' products and services (unless you have indicated you do not wish to receive such information).
- vii) Other legitimate business activities of SJP.
6. Access and Correction of Personal Data You may access and request for the correction of your personal data by contacting us from Monday to Friday (9.00 am – 5.00 pm, excluding public holidays). In accordance with the PDPA:
- i) We may charge a fee for processing your request for access or correction.
- ii) We may refuse to comply with your request for access or correction where permitted under the Act.
7. Disclosure of Personal Data Your personal data may be disclosed to our parent company, subsidiaries, related and/or associated companies, licensees, governmental/statutory bodies, regulatory agencies, business partners, and/or service providers (such as lawyers and bankers) for any of the Purposes stated above.
8. Obligatory Nature of Data It is obligatory that you supply us with the personal data marked with an asterisk (*) in Paragraph 2. If you fail to supply this data, we may be unable to process your information for the Purposes stated above.
9. International Transfer Your personal data may be transferred to a place outside Malaysia for storage or processing.
10. Accuracy of Information You are responsible for ensuring that the personal data you provide us is accurate, complete, not misleading, and kept up to date. If you provide personal data about another person, you must confirm that they have appointed you to act for them and consented to the processing of their data.
11. Deemed Consent By engaging with our services, using our website/application, or failing to provide a written objection within fourteen (14) working days from the start of your business dealings with us, you are deemed to have received, understood, and consented to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this notice.
12. Intellectual Property and Data Protection All content, data layouts, and property descriptions on this Site/App are the property of SJP. To protect the privacy and integrity of our listings, any unauthorized automated "scraping" or manual copying of our data for use on competing platforms is strictly prohibited.
